It captivates players by taking them to a Victorian inspired, plague-infested city with supernatural elements and dark secrets. Gloomwood focuses on non-linear exploration, atmospheric storytelling, and player choices. You play a secluded doctor that is taken away into a cursed city and must use stealth, tools, and understanding of surroundings in order to escape.

This game’s eerie atmosphere is heightened through old-school graphics reminiscent of late 90s PC games which gives it a nostalgic yet fresh feeling. Hidden paths and secrets await the most observant and curious, as levels are intricately interconnected.
